About This Programme

The Bachelor of Information Technology with Honours programme offered by Faculty of Computer Science and Information Technology (FSKTM) is designed to equip students with the necessary knowledge and skills to excel in the field of information technology (IT). The programme is accredited by professional bodies such as the Malaysian Qualifications Agency (MQA) MQA/FA10044.

The programme is available for three and a half years and has a thorough curriculum that includes both theoretical and practical IT study. Students will have opportunities to specialize in  a wide range of topics, including programming languages, database management, network architecture, software engineering, artificial intelligence, data science or mobile app development. 

Overall, the Bachelor of Information Technology with Honors programme provides students with the chance to participate in real-world, hands-on learning activities, such as internships and industry projects, ensuring that graduates are well-rounded and have the knowledge and skills necessary to succeed in the IT field.


Programme Educational Objectives (PEO)

The Bachelor of Information Technology with Honors programme prepares graduates to be able to:

  • Engage in supporting the organizational information technology needs to fulfill work specification requirements.

  • Lead the development of information technology solutions in the organization.

  • Contribute to the community and the nation.

There are many career opportunities for graduates of Bachelor of Information Technology with Honors, some of which include software developer, database administrator, IT Officer, network administrator, project manager, system analyst, technical writer, IT consultant, UI/UX designer, or data analyst, or other related positions.
